AWSM is thrilled to announce our next conference will be on Aug. 9-11 in Los Angeles.

The event is co-sponsored by Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication and our workshops will be hosted at the historic Herald Examiner Building, also known as the ASU California Center Broadway, in downtown Los Angeles.

AWSM will be announcing featured speakers soon. Registration will open on Thursday, May 21. Students registration will cost $85 for AWSM members and professional registration will cost $100 for AWSM members, with two off-site events included in the registration fees.

With the support of AWSM sponsors, we are offering a grant program for professional members that will cover the registration fee. The grant application will be posted on Thursday, May 21.

During our conference, AWSM will honor 2026 Pioneer Award winner Paola Boivin, 2026 Ann Miller Award winner Jenny Dial Creech, the 2026 AWSM student chapter of the year and our 2026 AWSM Scholars. We also will recognize recent past recipients of our top awards.
