The Association for Women in Sports Media is thrilled to welcome award-winning journalist Mina Kimes as one of our featured speakers during our upcoming convention in Los Angeles.

Kimes is an NFL analyst, senior writer, podcast host and television contributor for ESPN. Since joining ESPN the Magazine in 2014, her portfolio has grown within the company and beyond. She recently won Celebrity Jeopardy! and hosted the televised semifinals and finals of the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

She has a long history of mentoring journalists and supporting women in sports media.

Kimes will be among our speakers on Tuesday, Aug. 11, during AWSM's midday convention session at the ASU California Center Broadway.

AWSM's 2026 convention runs Aug. 9-11 and is co-sponsored by the Arizona State University Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
