Kansas City Star staff wins Triple Crown Holly Lawton and her staff at The Kansas City Star headlined the women who won awards last week from The Associated Press Sports Editors. The Star was the only newspaper in the over-250,000 circulation division this year to win the Triple Crown, receiving Top 10 recognition for its daily, Sunday and special sections. It is The Star's third Triple Crown in the past five years.
