Stacie Shain is a public affairs specialist for the Department of the Army. She handles advertising, marketing and public affairs for the U.S. Army in Indiana and metropolitan Louisville, Ky. Shain previously worked for daily newspapers as a sports reporter, copy editor and managing editor. She also has worked in corporate communications, human resources communications and public relations. Shain has co-authored a non-fiction book, Duty, Honor Applause: America’s Entertainers in World War II. She earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Bellarmine University and a master’s degree in journalism from Indiana University. Shain was an AWSM scholarship finalist in 1991 and has been a member of AWSM since 1993. She was the job fair coordinator from 2001 to 2003.
